Growing Up: Part Of Life, Not A Choice

Growing up is a part of life, not a choice.

Although, we always wish to keep on growing in our life in terms of financial stability, job security & emotional support.

Because growing up results in accomplishment which makes life satisfactory and worth living and also we don’t have a chance to take a U-turn, so it is the only option to move forward.

But, have you ever felt that being a child was more satisfactory than growing up and moving on in life?

I always cherish my childhood memories whenever I look up any child who is living his life full of fun. But at the same time I feel a sudden nostalgia for childhood too.

For example,

Festival means friends, gifts, enjoyment and lots of tasty food for a child.

Being a child, it was a different enthusiasm for festivals which is somewhere vanished nowadays and now it is a mere responsibility to attend.

A friend in need is a friend indeed- Always ready to visit a friend’s place.

Being a child, visiting relatives /friends’ place was a pleasure and it was always on the top of our list of vacations – which I miss badly.

Time management: 24 Hours were meant to play, sing and dance in a child’s life

Being a child, Involvement in extracurricular activities was at the peak that taking a nap or rest was the worst thing to do, now after work and office, this is the only thing remained in life.

Planning of Life: Revolves around friends, school and stationery.

Being a child, planning and savings included- deciding a gift for a friend, purchasing different colored pens or stationary in the market, buying Greeting cards and then writing the best quotes on teacher’s day and purchasing lots of glitter pens, colored tapes, and colors to write in scrapbooks and then exchanging them with friends.

The only tension in life was how to smile when a tooth is falling out.

Tensions of Life: Falling tooth, homework not done and not to play or eat Ice-cream when sick.

And, so on as childhood is full of interesting cherishable moments which we all want to live again and again.

It’s a kind of nostalgia we all go through at some point in time in our life.

So, which moment of your life you want to live again?

Please share in a comment section, I would love to be part of your childhood.
